This item is what I needed, I didn't buy the more pricey item because i wanted something cheap and fast. this item is on the long side at 2.5 inches. it did not work out for me, but the items does what they say it will do, Convert a DVI-I male to a DVI-D male.

I've tried it with various connector cables and it's never worked for me. Would have been nice if it had; at least it was cheap.

I needed this interface to send a video signal from the Mac Mini to my old Samsung monitor. It did the trick!

This was perfect for me to able to connect my monitor, for the video card had a DVI-I and the monitor a DVI-D, go figure, companies cant do just one thing they have to make our lives miserable and make us buy more stuff, we should do something about that(if there's something to do, that is).
