I don't know if these little babies do anything or not, but for the price and the amount of humidifiers I have, I buy them like candy. They can't hurt anything and I hope they actually do filter the minerals out of the water.

Just a note about the description: "Keeps cleaning for 3 days" should read "30 days"! A cartridge lasts a month. Very simple to use -- just drop it into the humidifier -- and it stays clean.

The packaging looks fine, the list of contents is what I expected.
Have not used any of them yet, but I am sure that they will work as expected.

This is a must have for tank humidifiers. They will keep the tanks clear and clean. I have the 9-gal humidifier and only used one in each tank with great results.

The ProTec cartridges do a very good job in reducing bacteria and mold growth in the water and on the humidifier element. Replacing the ProTec cartridge once a month gets us through an entire humidification season on a single element.
