 Works as it shouldJul 30, 2010
It's a power converter. There's really not much to it. The multiple tips and selectable voltage are very convenient. The only "drawback" I can see is that it would be great if the usb port worked and outputted the standard 5v all the time, regardless of the voltage selector. This way I can simultaneously charge via usb also.

This adapter is a great device for reducing number of separate devices required to power multiple electronics.
Replaced OEM adapter at a reasonable priceMay 10, 2010
This item replaced a missing OEM adapter that would cost nearly 5 times the price. It also provides a bonus of being a backup for several other devices. The multiple size plugs and voltage ranges make it a 'must have' item. The USB charging port is an additional feature that enhances the flexability.

I bought 2 of these adapters. One for home use and one for my business. The one I bought for home was returned the next day. None of the plugs that came with this "Universal" adapter fit the item I bought this specifically for plus when I was taking off one of the plugs from the holder, a prong fell out. The second adapter which I needed for a label printer at work started off fine. But after several days it started acting up. The printer did not recognize that it was plugged in and kept flashing the message "replace batteries" and would not print. It printed labels intermittently when it wanted to but only with certain size labels. That does me no good. Hopefully I can use it for other things that need an A/C adapter. But I'm going to Radio Shack and see if I can find one for my label printer.

Wash hands after handling. Hazardous materials usedApr 15, 2010
After reading the good reviews, I purchased one. It arrived very quickly. But on the back of the package, it says:
"Warning: This product contains chemicals that are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling."
This is scary. Buy something else that does not require you to "wash hands after handling".
