I switch back and forth between XP and VISTA and I haven't tried 7 yet. But I think I will still with XP for a while because it's been developed for many years looks stable to me. VISTA is known resource hog.

You as Amazon must be more carefull about the operating systems you are selling for people. This copy was not genuine and is not of any use. Yes I did get a refund which as very fast and appreciated. The only problem was the delay that it caused to complete the project.
I will still purchas from amazon but I will ask questions of items I am purchasing.

COUNTERFEIT SOFTWARE PER MICROSOFTJun 13, 2010
I installed this software in good faith as the seller claims is a legal copy of Windows XP. It is not, per Microsoft. They will not validate the copy and I must remove it from my computer. I contacted the seller, 3 days have past and no reply. I have submitted it to Amazon and I am hoping they will resolve this issue. If not, I will pursue a chargeback through my credit card company. Unless the status changes, my advice...STAY AWAY FROM THIS SELLER. If the seller or Amazon make good on it, I will update this comment.

I was promised Windows XP Professional and I recieved Windows XP Home. The vendor will not return my emails. I have wasted my money here. I'm probably not going to buy anything from Amazon again, there is no accountability from it's vendors.
