The dock does exactly what it says it'll do--no surprises. Good price and construction quality seems appropriate for its function. I'd buy it again or recommend purchase to friends.

Long heavy cables, base is heavy enough to be stable, excellent sound quality, charges ipod, low price.
No remote, which I didn't want and which wouldn't have worked well anyway.

Finally, I found the easy and inexpensive way to listen to music on my audio system. I was getting kind of tired of burning and changing CDs.
A few things you should know before you buy this item, though. I got this for an iPod Touch. Like it was mentioned before by others, it doesn't play videos. It has something to do with the special cable you need to get only from Apple. That's why I am not a big fan of Apple's products, which rely heavily on its proprietary technology. It also doesn't come with the iPod Touch adaptop. I used the one that came with the iPod Touch.
I wish it came in black with matching cords, which is the color of both our TV and the audio system. Having a remote to control the iPod would be nice because otherwise you have to do it through the device's own interface. I'll try to program the audio system's remote. Hopefully, it would solve this problem.
To sum this up, Belkin Dock is like a no-frills hotel that does the job more or less. It's good value for the money. If you want all features that I listed missing, it will cost you about a few hundred dollars.

I wanted a stand-up charger for my iPod Touch, and bought this one because I have purchased other Belkin products in the past. The unit is well manufactured and looks good on my desk. I would highly recommend this product.

personal use: iPod output to Audioengine 5 powered bookshelf speakers.
dock has a nice weighted feel, and is very well built.
wall charger can be used with dock or alone with usb sync cable.
clean sound output. charging of ipod works as advertised.
only con: sometimes wish a cheap simple remote were included.
